As you can see Alexis LOVES jean mini's and leggings. She has loved them for as long as I can remember. She will only wear boots with the skirts and leggings/tights. I like the look too, I think it's cute. This is definitely her signature look. She needs more scarfs so if anyone reading this knows where I can get cute kid scarfs or anyone who makes them... HOLLER at me! And of course this is her favorite find overall:
We still need to buy 2 pairs of boots (one black pair and one brown pair) and some tennis shoes. I know we will end up buying Alexis a pair of Uggs this year, the winter weather is brutal here. She likes the Kinsington style boot, I'm still not sure. At that rate we may only be getting one pair of boots. Kohls had a sweet deal on some Nike's, they were only $19.99. They we're not ugly either, I didn't buy them because Chad is sort of a shoe snob and I usually leave the shoe shopping to him.
I took Trenton shopping too, I let him choose what he wanted this year. I don't usually do that because letting a 3 year old choose his clothes usually means lots of tacky Batman/SpongeBob/Micky Mouse print tee's. We ended up with only one tacky shirt, a Phineas and Pherb shirt. He was interested in Alexis and her outfit making so he put two outfits together himself and asked that I take a picture too. here are two of Trenton's outfits:
Not too bad, plus the bottom shirt was on sale at JC Penney's for $1.57! What a steal. That Guitar shirt was something he was really excited about and if I had to guess I would say that the orange guitar shirt is his favorite. He chose a lot of orange, orange is his favorite color, and he feels proud of himself. I like that he is so pleased and proud, I'm glad I gave him the opportunity to feel like a big boy. And of course all of his jeans came from The Children's Place too, in case you were wondering. :D
Jessa scored a little too, obviously she isn't going to school but I found her a couple of pairs of bright and funky leggings.
What do you think?
So cute! I need to get some fashionista tips from Alexis. She is so grown up!
ReplyDeleteTrenton too! I LOVE all their outfits.
You should have Alexis write up a blog about her favorite fashion trends for this year. Just a quick 3 items or something.
Maybe I will, Liz. She is so grown up, I can't believe it.
ReplyDeleteI love her outfits! They totally fit her personality.
ReplyDeleteAww, these outfits are so cute! (:
ReplyDeleteVery cute. I love Children's Place jeans too and that's what Hayley got. Is that where you bought her skirt? I need to get one for Hayley. Do you want me to knit her a scarf?
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had fun, when does school start?
Cute clothes!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get Jessa's leggings at?
I love the choice of clothes. It's great to let them choose. Wish I had done that.

Well you may remember that I crochet scarves but I don't know if it would live up to your fashionista's requirements.
ReplyDeleteAll of their clothes are cute! I love that Lexi laid out the outfits for you to take pictures of. :) Her outfits are pretty cute!
ReplyDeleteLacy, could you make her a scarf? I would love that. I will pay you in dollars or kisses, which ever you prefer! LOL
ReplyDeleteMandy, you too! Yes please. I would LOVE if you made Lex. Scarf!
I got the leggings at Carters (brown) and The Childrens Place (bright ones) they were only $2.99
ReplyDeleteWTF is wrong with me?! Mandy? No. I have no idea why I typed that. Maybe your screen name through me for. Loop. I MENT to say Melissa... sorry. I'm an ass.
ReplyDeleteYeah, let me know what colors or send me some yarn that she likes. I am excited for a project.
ReplyDeleteI'm stopping in from Ten Talent's This for That. I already follow, but I added your button to my blog roll at http://frugalformyfriends.blogspot.com!
ReplyDeleteCute outfits! My daughter would like those too. We can't have writing on the clothing so they would have to be solid. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteLisa
Awww...this is why I miss not having a girl! I have to agree that the Children's Place has the best fitting jeans. Hands down. Your little girl sure is a fashionista. Heck I couldn't pull that outfit together!
