Good News!

Today we got the word that we close on our house on Wednesday. I'm ready to move in and start a new chapter of our lives. I'm hoping that I can get the house put together before the weekend and have some sort of Fourth of July get together. I can dream, can't I? We have quite a bit of painting that we need to do but other than that I just got to call the movers and have them get our things out of short term storage and into our garage.

In other news Jessa has experienced some deliciousness lately. She has been introduced to anything and everything the last few days. Last night she had tacos, well not really. She had all of the contents of tacos on her tray... not a full taco. Babies don't get full tacos!

Tonight it was alfredo. Homegirl is a eating machine. She is also teething again. My once happy Bunny is now a very cranky and just plain mad. This is what she does ALL. DAY. LONG.

Alexis and Trenton have been too busy to allow me to take their pictures. They're in and out all day long playing with neighbors, fooling around at the pond, and whatever else little kids do outside. I will admit I do enjoy the quiet! I love summer and apparently so do they. The kids will start Vacation Bible School in the middle of July and I will probably enroll them in some other summer programs too.

My dad is already planning his trip up here, my kids are excited and so are we. My dad is a jack of all trades and will undoubtedly be helping out with things that need to be done around the house and helping us install an additional bathroom and replace the flooring in the kitchen. Not to mention rolling around in the grass with the kids and the like.

Chad has started working but I know his schedule from now until Jan. 2011. That is a HUGE perk. We can actually plan things in advance or on a whim. I'm most excited for next year, we get to go on a real family vacation. When I say a real vacation I mean anywhere other than back to the city we came from. It seems like we get guilted in going there every time Chad has time off. Not anymore! We've reclaimed our vacations and they will actually be vacations.

Overall we're all happy. I'm so glad to be on the East coast, I adore it here. I feel this is where I belong. I'm excited to move forward and experience life to the fullest. I simply cannot wrap my head around the fact that when Chad is done in the here and with the Navy (hopefully!) Alexis will 9, Trenton will be 6, and Jessa will be 3. SAY WHAT!? Yeah.

  6. I know what you mean about real vacations. I feel so silly that we spend so much time and money to drive to MS and back. Next time, I'm going somewhere to relax and see beautiful sights I've never seen before! I'm thinking a Greek island... :)

So exciting to have your own home! Can't wait to see photos.
