At our house we have a hypothetical dog, her name is Murphy. Our entire family talks about Murphy-Dog as if she is already a member of the family. We probably will not acquire her for a little while... but we've named her and already love her. We don't know what she will look like but we do know she will be a golden retriever, probably the most cute golden retriever EVER.
