I've been out meeting new people and expanding my social network. It feels good to get out and socialize. I'm a social butterfly and I like a nice sized group of friends but I'm not into cliques. I've always had different types of friends for different types of things that I like to do. You know, I have religious friends, partying friends, close friends, intellectual friends, acquaintances, mommy friends, trip friends, etc. It just works better like that for me, sometimes people fall into multiple categories, it's not just the one thing that we have in common. The most important thing for me is trust, it's nice to say that I have lots of people I can count on both here and scattered across the United States.
I'm ready for the weekend. I'm hoping to make it to Albany to buy couches and another car. Yes, I'm ambitious. Chad and I have both agreed that we are not a one car type of family. It wasn't a huge deal when he wasn't working but now that he is, well, its been difficult. We had originally planned on waiting until summer was over before we bought another car, thinking I would only need a car once school started. BUT that's not the case. I have the kids enrolled in several summer activities, we have appointments for the dentist and doctor, I like to meet friends for lunch or coffee and it sucks to be stuck at home. I never realized how much freedom I had until it was taken away... not taken, you know what I mean.
Enjoy your weekend, friends!
I'm excited for you! You are getting close!!
ReplyDeleteI've never been into cliques either. It's always nice to have friends with various backgrounds and interests. It makes one a well rounded person.
