NEW YORK, NEW YOOOOOOORK!

I made in to my new home city in New York. I'm techically homeless right now, my family and I are crashing at my friend, Tiffany's, house. We parked our trailer of our possesions at another friends house about 20 miles away. The movers have the rest of our stuff, I have no idea where it is at the moment. I've come to the conclusion that we have too much stuff. We have a 7x15 ft trailer packed to the brim and the movers had a 16ft truck. That's a lot of crap! When I moved to Charleston, SC from the Las Vegas area 6 years ago everything fit in a small Uhaul trailer and the back of the pick up. The move 4 years ago was taken care of by movers entirely, I czn;t imagine we had much more, we live n a tiny apartment in here, in New York. We manage to collect a metric butt ton while we lived in Washington!

Still no work on the house situation. I have no idea what is happening. I'm ready to throw my hands up on the air and just say "eff it!" I'm supposed to be hearing something from the realtor early this afternoon. I hope so, we either need to close on this house or find a rental. I need a home.

Trenton was up all night with a fever. SUCK.

Tomorrow I will be chosing a tutu winner. SOMEONE BETTER CLAIM IT!

  1. Yikes, I hope the realtor calls you soon! It's always during a move when we realize how much stuff we actually have. I'm sort of a pack-rat so its tough for me to throw anything out, but then again I'm not anywhere as bad as the people on that hoarders show so I feel a little better about it, lol.

  2. The hoarders show always makes me feel better about my crap too! I have this license plate collection that I have been carrying around for years. Realistically I know I'm never going to do anything with these 100 plates BUT I love them and have an emotional bind wiht them. YES, I am a nutjob.

  3. What a pain on the house deal! I swear the whole real estate process is way more complicated than it has to be.

I really pride myself on not having a lot of 'stuff'. But I say don't get rid of the plates! Those are cool things to have, they would be neat to use to decorate the walls of a gameroom or even the garage. It's not like it's a 200 pc collection of crocheted angels or crystal elephants, LOL. It's pretty cool, you are pretty cool, ILYF!
