Another day in paradise.

I really like having Chad home. We've been getting a long really well and I think to myself "is this what normal married people feel like?" Chad is home every night for dinner and he has been participating in all sorts of family activities. It's AWESOME. Due to work before he missed abou 80% of the fun stuff. He took 40 days of leave, yay for 40 days! Then he will have a semi-normal work schedule as soon as we get to NY.

I'm looking forward to going to AZ. At first I was not into it because everyone wants us to do stuff to make them happy on their terms. Not anymore. We're going to do stuff WE want to do. It's going to be great. I'm going to stay with my BFF and her family for a few days, then hang out in a hotel and enjoy my friends and family. I'm really worried about Jessa adjusting to the heat, well, all of the kids. I know that Chad's family is going to want to go out of the boat for several housr and my kids aren't used to the extreme heat. It's going to be crazy summer heat, over 110 degrees no doubt. I'm worried that the kids will get some for of heat exhaustion and then we will have to drive to NY with 3 cranky/sick kids. Of course because Chad's mother and I aren't getting along she is going to take this as some sort of personal attack and/or try to get me to change my beliefs.

I'm so over petty bullshit and people treating Chad and I like we're children. We've been married happily for 5 years, we have 3 kids, and we've been doing okay solo the entire time. For God's sake, we're in our mid-late 20's! For whatever reason people feel the need to comment about our maturity, our descisions, etc. It's funny because the people who are commenting on this do not know us that well. Yes, it's our parents. How is it that our parents think they know us so damn well? When wa sthe last time I seen my mother? probaly 2 years ago. And Chad's motyher has never visitied us since we've moved. (That's a whole story in itself.) By parents I mean my mother and Chad's mother. My mom was so disappointed when we decided to have another child (Jessa), she insisted 2 was best and we would be finacially unstable if we had another. Um, what does she know about our finicial situation? She doesn't. We had never needed money form anyone and I think we're perfectly able to make our own finacial descisions. And Chad's mother said somethingto me about Chad not being as mature as I am. WTF? Right, because she knows him so well. She has spent SO much time with him. Yeah, sorry a 15 minute phone call once a week doesn't count as knowing someone. It's the same with my mother, I talk to her maybe once every 2 weeks. She doesn't know me. She knew me when I was 21, and sometimes I think parents have a hard time understanding that their kids grow and learn while they're away living their own lives. Chad has been taking care of his family for over 6 years,I would say his maturity level is sometimes higher than mine!

In other news Alexis is a superstar reader. Jessa has 2 teeth and eats everything. Trenton is woring on writing his letters. I'm so proud of my babies and I love them all so much! I'm not interested in having another child, pregnancy sucks. Chad has been naming our hypothetical child all week. He thinks it's cute and he is convinced I am pregnant and it's a boy. What a weenie. I'm not pregnant, Im just lacking a period. Sometimes periods are late for various reasons and honestly I think it's the recent activity jump, I have been exercising a lot and my diet has changed. I should have gotten that damn IUD. Besides, the odds of me actually being pregnant are slim. When Chad and I tried to to get pregnant it took 5 months on average. Plus Chad has a vasectomy... the chance of a rogue sperm living through the procedure is slim. Personally, I am not worried.

  1. If you were to be pregnant that is about the time frame emmie was when I found out I was pregnant with Annalee. It's not as difficult as everyone says it is while you are pregnant and raising a small child. Jess is pretty dependent already from what I saw. <3

You should know soon. The 10th isn't that far away.

I hate when parents make comments about how their children are living. First of all, you can't learn unless you make mistakes. Second of all if you are only speaking to someone for 15 min. every week then you are only getting a small amount of information. No offense to Chad but his mom sounds like a quack. :)

  2. I don't want to be pregnant. You have no idea the consequences would be in several different aspects. Sure, finacially we can afford it and mentally we're legit... but the damage to Tiffy would be tremendous. Not to mention the bullshit I'd be getting form everyone about having a 4th child (OMG, my mom) and having the 4th be an accident.

  3. Everything happens for a reason Brina. If you were suppose to have another child it is going to happen. I believe everything does happen for a reason. I know it would hurt tiff so bad but she loves you and loves each of your children as her own. She is a good friend and it wouldn't talk long for her to snap back and be ok. And you mom.. any one that can talk about vibrating condoms and not support 4 children is not on my a list.. she goes to my b list now. Sorry mama whatever your maiden name is.
